Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team |

Hello Resident,
Well, so what has happened over the last few weeks in Digbeth?
Your local neighbourhood officers have been responding to concerns around road safety. This has seen officers on Bradford Street removing a vehicle being driven without a licence or insurance, as well as prosecuting the offender. The No Entry sections on Chapel House Street and Alcester Street have also received attention with drivers being sent Notices of Intended Prosecution for their breaches. Speed has also been raised by businesses around the Creative Quarter, which led to a speed check operation. Several drivers received warnings for being over the speed limit.
Hopefully we will be able to undertake the first Community Speedwatch event soon. If you would like to get involved, let me know by emailing adam.owen@westmidlands.police.uk
We have seen some arrests (Well, we are the police!) for a range of offences including Racially Aggravated verbal abuse, criminal damage and possession of weapons, and convictions at court for offenders dealt with by the team earlier in the month.
I have noticed that there has been an increase in vehicle crime in the area, and this is always going to be a threat, so thought I would share the link to our vehicle crime advice. Keeping vehicles safe | Crime prevention | West Midlands Police
As ever we have continued to visit our Night Time Economy venues. It is always a pleasure to meet everyone out and about making the most of what Digbeth has to offer - just remember, keep your phones, wallets and purses safe and have a plan for getting home.
Stop me when you see me out, I'm always happy for a chat.
Adam. | ||
